Abstract
This research aims at studying and analyzing the juridical review of Yogyakarta Special District Police to overcome. Abortion criminal act conducted by minors. Besides, this research also aims at studying and analyzing the handicaps which will be experienced by Yogyakarta Special District Police to overcome abortion criminal act conducted by minors. This is a normative legal research used, the secondary data as the main dataand the primary one as the supporting data. The research result indicated that from the juridical review Yogyakarta Special District Police has two roles in overcoming the abortion criminal act conducted by minors that preventive and represive roles. The preventive role was carried out by Yogyakarta Special District Police before abortion criminal act happened in order to prevent it. When as the repressive role was carried out after the abortion was done by minors. The handicaps which will be experienced by Yogyakarta Special District Police where Lack of evidence and evilence things, the availability of ilegal abortion clinics and abortion medicines which where freely sold, free sex among teenagers resulting in unwanted pregnancies which gave bad spychological impact because the minors will not be responsible for the unborn.
