Abstract

Yogyakarta has many agricultural land which converted into residential land and causing agricultural land constriction even when Yogyakarta Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2010 on Spatial Planning Yogyakarta was intended for settlement. Based on that, this research entitled “Agricultural land conversion into residential land implementation following Yogyakarta Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2010 on Spatial Planning Yogyakarta”. This research aims to acknowledge how the implementation and obstacles on doing the land convert. This research using empirical method which focusing on social facts. Empirical method done by collecting primary and secondary data using respondents interviews and literature. Agricultural land conversion into residential land implementation has almost suitable by filling land use conversion permit application and dry out the land to use. After the dry out they must filling the building permit application on Yogyakarta Licensing Department. However, there are some residents who don’t follow this steps. Obstacles on conversing agricultural land into residential land is a long application process, so the government should educate the residents to do the following order. On the other hand, the government should also oversee the residents and punish the residents who don’t follow the order.
