Abstract

Library promotion is one the library activities to market the library facilities and functions. The purpose of this study to explain how much influences the forms of promotion that has been done on the level of utilization of the library. The type which is used for the research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. The populations which are taken of this research are students, lectures, staff, and external users. The results showed that 9 form of promotion that routinely held every year were positive effect on utilization rates in library of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University. From this research, it can be concluded the form of promotion that has the highest percentage is a library tour, with a score of 3.97 and the lowest one is WIPA magazine, with a score of 3.43.
