Abstract

My undergraduate thesis entitles “constabulary’s roles in the investigation of Fencing car’s criminal acts in Yogyakarta”. Goal of this research is to get the data and analyze constabulary in the investigation of Fencing car’s criminal acts whether it is appropriate with KUHAP rules and PERKAP POLRI No. 14 in 2012 and get the data and analyze the problems when constabulary tries to investigate fencing car’s criminal acts in Yogyakarta based on KUHAP and PERKAP POLRI No. 14 in 2012. Research method that is used by the writer is normative legal research. The level of criminality of wealth field in Yogyakarta is high enough. Criminality in wealth field produces goods of crime product. One of the most production of goods of crime product is car. The existence of the cars of crime product makes Fencing car’s criminal acts is existent.the role of connstabulary is needed here to decide criminal acts of that fencing. The role of local constabulary in Yogyakarta is done through preventive and resresive act. Investigation is resresive action. The role of investigator in criminal acts of fencing basically has been appropriate with KUHP and PERKAP POLRI No. 14 in 2012. The problems which are faced local constabulary in Yogyakarta to do the investigation that are the limitation of time, the lack of professional personnel, and the escaping agent in remote area.
