Abstract
Penitentiary is a clean and free place from narcotics trafficking. In fact, it is often being a place of narcotics trafficking, even it creates the network of narcotics trafficking. Because of the reason above, this research comes up with title The Authority of Agency for Monitoring Narcotics to Reveal The Network of Narcotics Trafficking (a case study in Penitentiary of Narcotics’ Case Class II A Pakem). The purpose of this research are to understand the factors which causes penitentiary became a place of narcotics’ network, and to understand the authority used by BNNP DIY for revealing narcotics’ network in penitentiary. This Research uses Normative Method which concerns on norms of positive laws and literature review. The authoity of Agency for Monitoring Narcotics to overcome this problem are through hold direct investigation, informant investigation, and unannounced inspection which includes tapping and extracting information. Through this research, the researcher finds that there are three main factors which causes BNNP DIY unable to reveal the narcotics’ network in prison. Those factors are the internal control factor, society factor, and technology factor.
