Abstract

The student violence in the province of Yogyakarta will make a deface the reputation the city of Yogyakarta as a student city and town cultural which make implication of declining interest of the student outside the region to study in the Province of Yogyakarta. The province of Yogyakarta once the loss existence of the culture city of Yogyakarta Province. In the reality, that student violence in the province far more than the acts of violence commited in the rural student. Students violence in the Province of Yogyakarta has increased almost every year, it yake serious treatment the relevant agencies. The police of yogyakarta province should give the attention best interest of the student in prevention and obstacle who be faced the police of Yogyakarta toudent prevent. The research uses a empirical study thats focuses to reality into police departement of Yogyakarta province region who have competence in the field of student violence. To analyze the data that has been collected using qualitative analysis methodto infer deductifely that originate from the preposition that the truth had been known, and ends at the conclusion of special nature. Yogyakarta police region in tackling student violence seeked students wtih penal policy and non penal policy, although in reality more emphasis on prevebtive measures of reppresive measure. So it not uncommon violence meeting are beeing resolved and consensus, but to a certain student violence resulting in injuries weight and / or death will still be processed through the court in the yurisdiction.
