Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engages in service consultant of building construction, and also interior design, located in Yogyakarta. This research began with problem occurred in service consultant of building construction, and also interior design in selecting the best suppliers by determining the rank of priority suppliers. In current situation, PT. XYZ has no standard method to selecting suppliers, it might be affect the company’s business performance if they choose the wrong suppliers. The object of this research is focused on interior design of PT. XYZ. The one of materials most used for interior design by PT. XYZ is HPL (High Pressure laminate). Therefore, the supplier’s selection will affect company’s performance. PT. XYZ has five suppliers of HPL, and they want to rank HPL suppliers based on criteria determined by the company. In this supplier selection involved more than one criterion, therefore Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is required. The method is used with the integration of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) - Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS). The FAHP method is used to overcome the limitations of the AHP method of inability to consider the uncertainties arising from human subjectivity. The FTOPSIS method covers the weaknesses of AHP. A lot of pair wise comparison matrix judgment that must regard the hierarchy level, criteria, alternative, and the objectives in AHP method makes AHP method can do consistency test. Consistency test makes this judgment can eliminate the respondents who are not competence. TOPSIS method has fewer comparison matrix judgment that regardless the hierarchy, criteria, and alternative. TOPSIS cannot do consistency test, therefore, the truth levels or the validity levels of TOPSIS cannot be known. The results showed that there are 4 criteria considered in supplier’s selection of PT.XYZ. These five criteria are price, quality, delivery, and guarantee. The result of using integration of FAHP-FTOPSIS got the order of supplier as follows: weight 0.65 for PT. Laminatect Creation means, weight 0.62 for PT. Abadi Jaya Multiguna, weight 0.43 for Draco Solo, weight 0.38 for Greenlam Laminates (Aura Praba), and weight 0.18 for Haveel Center SMG.
