Abstract

This research examines possible differences in their perceptions toward experience working in group based on gender as the main demographic variable. The experiences of students and different perceptions of gender would be discussed, because having established different gender groups of business people that could be studied and observed. A survey was administered to 300 students in Faculty of Economics Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Students were asked to respond the statements which described their attitude towards and their experiences with group work. Result revealed that females unsatisfied and uncomfortable with their experience working in group. Despite of that, females indicated that they were more confident rather than males in order to make decisions in group work
