Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of Cultural Values towards Career Orientation. Culture is an important determinant of how people think and behave, while “values” are “broad tendencies to prefer certain state of affairs over others. Career Orientation is the way people define their success at work and that individual perceptions of career success reflect individual values, attitudes and motivation with respect to both work and life in a broader sense, or in a simple way, it is the way of how people see their own career is going to be in a future. Caused by the changing ages and era, people tend to look at their future career differently from the past, especially in this case is a University Student. University phase is one step below the working phase; it is your final stop before reaching the real life itself, work-life. Writer would like to investigate the effect of how people usually behave in daily life, towards their perspective of how their career expectation in the future based on their sex differences. The result shown that,Cultural Values does affect Career Orientation. Cultural values are able to affect Career Orientation as big as 35% while the 65% is influenced by other variable outside this research. And from the analysis, Cultural Values does give a positive influence toward Career Orientation
