Abstract

Life on earth is inseparable from the threat of evil, either by using firearms or without the use of firearms. Therefore, it was born an institution called the police as an institution that can regulate the pattern of community life. To support the hard work in the community, the police are equipped with weapons for self-protection and forcible action of a criminal offense that will occur. The presence of police officers in his work equipped with firearms, then open the opportunity for police officers to do development with the fire it has. Many cases occur where police officers use firearms to avenge others against the rules of Article 47 Police Principal Regulation 8/2009. What is the function and purpose of providing weapons against the police in accordance with Article 47 Police Principal Regulation 8/2009? What is the liability of police officers who violate Article 47 Police Principal Regulation 8/2009? This method of this research is normative law research which is focused on norm of positive laws in the form of supporting laws regulations. The result of this study is to find out whether the implementation of Article 47 Police Principal Regulation 8/2009 has been implemented in accordance with the provisions and objectives and to know the accountability of police members violating Article 47 Police Principal Regulation 8/2009
