Abstract
The title of this writing is the Position of Children Born Against Sanctions Waja According to Customary Law Bajawa In Ngada District. This study aims to determine the status of children born due to the sanction of waja according to customary law of Bajawa in Ngada District.The type of research used is normative legal research, namely legal research conducted or focusing on positive legal norms in the form of legislation regarding the status of children born due to the existence of sanctions waja according to customary law Bajawa. The conclusion of this research is the position of the child who was born due to the sanction of waja according to the customary law of Bajawa in Ngada Regency is an outsider or known as ana waja. An out-of-wedlock child or an anwar only has a civil or kinship relationship with his mother and his mother's family.
