Abstract

This research entitled “Investigation Process of Physical Violence Case by Child at Sleman Police Station”. The background of this research is based on the child investigation process that is not transparent and the unauthorized investigators who do the investigation the children as the same way as the adult. The formulations of this research are (1) Does Sleman Police Station follow the rules and regulations in processing child physical abuse case? (2) What are the obstacles that are encountered by the Sleman Police Station officers in child physical abuse case? The type of this research is normative which focuses on the regulation only. The results are (1) Sleman Police Station has already followed the article of protection No.23 year 2002 and article of child criminal justice system No.11 year 2012 (2) the obstacles faced by the officer of Sleman Police Station consist of external and internal obstacles. From external, the obstacles come from community who do not understand about the article of protection No.23 year 2002 and article of child criminal justice system No.11 year 2012, while from internal the obstacles are caused by unavailability of LPAS, LPKS and limited PPA room. In addition, there are many officers in Sleman Police Station who do not understand about the article of child criminal justice system No.11 year 2012
