Abstract
Presidential election is always being a huge event in every country that believes in democracy that will give an impact to every aspect in that country. Especially United State as the superpower country, this kind of event might not only give impact to its own country but also to the other countries all over the world. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the latest U.S. president election towards Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Philippines composite index. This research is using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) with dummy variable as the analysis tool. The result of this research shows whether the U.S. presidential election does give impact to the certain composite index but not a big one. It is better for the future research to do this kind of research but with using intra-day data and expand the limitation of country by choosing other’s index not only in ASEAN so the reader could see whether this event does giving impact or not to the other countries. This result of this research could help the readers especially the investors when facing to this kind of event.
