Abstract

The title of this legal thesis is “Criminal liability on parents who neglect their children in the household”, the purpose is to know how the shape of legal liability against a parent who neglecting her child in the household and form the legal effort against children who are victims of neglect. This research was analyzed by juridical normative method using positive law that prevailed. The conclusion is forms of legal liability against a parent who neglecting her child in the household is a form of imprisonment and / or criminal penalties. The forms of legal protection in dealing with children who are victims of neglect their parents is cared or nurtured by his mother, cared for by family near her parents, nurtured by social services as an extension of the government, which is done by providing provision of skills, spiritual formation, treatment from a psychologist to remove because traumatized by his parents and then returned again to the public. Necessary good cooperation between the Department of Social, Community and Social Institutions of society in providing protection for child victims of neglect by parents. With better handling, in action against the perpetrators and the protection of children as victims, it is expected that children can be avoided from the criminal act of neglect by her parents.
