Abstract
The title of this undergraduate thesis is “The Forest’s Legal Protection Against Palm Oil Expansion in Riau”. This thesis focuses on the legal protection to protect forest park from palm oil expansion in Riau. The study is also done to find solution for related problems. This thesis concludes that some protection efforts such as routine patrol and arrangement of wild buildings in the forest area are not applied well, due to some obstacles. Moreover, the palm oil expansion keeps happening in Riau. For the solution, this thesis recommends stronger supervision from the related institutions. It is also about delivering the further education of forest protection, which in this case is Sultan Syarif Kasim Forest Park, for society.
