Abstract

The legal writing aims to know the treatment to the prisoners of imprisonment under one year in the Correctional Facility Class II A of Yogyakarta. The research method used in the writing of this law is the method of normative law research. This normative legal research requires secondary data consisting of legistation, books, internet, and interviews with resource persons. The results of the study indicate that the treatment in Correctional Facility the Class II A Yogyakarta do not know the treatment based on his criminal past. Based on the treatment is known that there are no special method carried out by the Correctional Facility Class II A of Yogyakarta againts the inmates with the verdict of imprisonment under one year, so it is feared as well as communication with the whole convicts can the prisoning because of the inmate by the verdict of imprisonment under a year studying the crime of inmates with the verdict of imprisonment higher. With the treatment relatively short is considered not in accordance with the goal of the punishment
