Abstract

The title of this thesis is the implementation of legal protection against victims of terrorism in Bali. This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of legal protection against victims of terrorism in Bali. Crime victims generally are protected with Act No. 13 of 2006 jo. Act Number 31 of 2014 concerning Protection of Victims and Witnesses. The protection consists of compensation, restitution and rehabilitation. Furthermore on Article 7 section 4 stated that compensation for terrorism victims are taken off based on Act No. 15 of 2003 concerning Anti-Terrorism. However, the Anti-Terrorism Act still have no implementing regulation concerning the distribution mechanism on compensation, restitution and assistance to victim’s family. This thesis uses empirical method where the main focus of this research is the practice that occurs in society. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of legal protection against victims of terrorism in Bali has not been implemented properly. Victims of terrorism in Bali have not received psychosocial assistance in the form of compensation / restitution while medical and psychological support has been implemented.
