Abstract

Hoax news is a serious threat to the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. Social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and others are very easy means for hoax news spreaders and hateful information. Until now hoaks news spreaders are still widely spread, the government and parties in this case must really change hate news and information. So the thesis with this normative research method discusses the reality of criminal planning. Law of The Republic of Indonesia Concering Electronic Information and Transactions is not yet completely perfect, in terms of the law it needs to be more assertive. In overcoming hoak crime according to the most appropriate which is actually not with law enforcement, it does not mean that the law is not profitable. The number of cases that occur because of the problem of a person's capacity to use technology, therefore, the literacy is low. In my opinion, his knowledge must be improved, in early education, how to use technology wisely
