Abstract

Thesis entitled “Management of Waste Banks as an Effort to Control Environmental Pollution in Bandung City (Case Study Resik Waste Banks)”. Waste Production In Bandung City continues to increase from the initial 7.500 M3/day to 8.413 M3/day. Service ability PD Kebersihan Bandung City is still very limited. Proven only can serving waste management around 65%. Landfill land is also very limited. So that waste becomes a problem that never goes away. Government policy Bandung city want to build a waste bank in every Citizens Association. Bandung City have 1585 Citizens Association and just around 200 Citizens Associaton that already have a waste bank. Through a waste bank hopefully can reduce waste, beside having economic value, waste bank can reduce the volume of waste brought to landfills. Resik Waste Bank is a dry waste management system collectively encourage people to play an active role in it, the purpose of this research is to knowing the role of Resik Waste Bank in its efforts to process waste to prevent environmental pollution in Bandung City and the obstacles faced in running the business. This research is an empirical legal research, that focuses on the behavior of the legal community, this research was conducted directly to respondents to obtain primary data as the main data and supported by secondary data. The conclusion, the management of Resik Waste Bank in controlling environmental pollution has gone well, The existence of the Resik Waste Bank is able to collect 850 public employees, reduce the volume of waste in Bandung City even though it is still not optimal and has not been administered in an administrative manner, providing economic benefits There are suggestions that provide routine and consistent socialization to residents or SKPD, firmly against individuals who commit fraud, administration must be more orderly and develop existing and expanded products along with other parties.
