Abstract

Lately, accounting major are become a trend in the college students. Many of these students choosing accounting because they assume that that the accounting profession in the future will be much requested by many kinds of work from the environment of government, company, until education sectors. The need of public accountant service users in business activities also increasing every year, especially the need for quality financial information used as a consideration in decision making. The primary focus of this research is to study the factors that influence career choice among accounting students as a public accountant at Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. The criteria of sample that are used in this research is final-year accounting student both international and regular class that are enrolled in 2018. The result from this research found that outcome expectations and personal interest have positive influence to career choice among accounting student as a public accountant at Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta.
