Abstract
Along with the development of the era of trade was also developed by following the lifestyle of humans. The current trade can not only be done directly but also can be indirectly done or using electronic systems. The development of trading systems and transactions will facilitate the way of human life and also increasingly add to the problems in consumer protection. This will be a challenge for the instutition in charge of protection consumers to carry out their duties and authority to protect consumers ordinary transactions and protect e-commerce consumers. The role and function of the National Consumer Protection Agency to realize security and safety for consumers in online transaction will be questioned and how the roles and responsibilities of the agency in realizing a consumer protection system that contains elements of legal certainty and information disclosure. The purpose of this study is to know the legal review of the consumer protection agency in protection consumers who make online transactions. Type of research used is empirical research by looking at social facts that occur today. The results of research that has been done by the author is the National Consumer Protection Agency has done its work according to which has been regulated in law, but the agency has only limited authority in protection consumer electronic transactions. therefore an amendment of the law is required and the authority of the institution should be expanded to protect consumers more strongly. The National Consumer Protection Agency in its efforts to protect consumers e-commerce, they work together with some institutions that have a direct relationship with the problem of consumer protection, especially consumer online buying and selling transactions, they also continue to educate and recommendations related to these problems.
