Abstract
This paper analyzes how the implementation of emission tests on public transport Bus Trans Jogja and the obstacles faced by the Department of Transportation, as an effort to control air pollution in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province based on Perda DIY No. 5 of 2007 concerning air pollution control. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the implementation of the emission test on public transportation Bus Trans Jogja that carried out by the Department of Transportation has gone well eventhough it has not been optimal. The cause of the implementation of the emission test against Trans Jogja is not optimal due to constraints in the form of limited emission testing facilities and infrastructures or the limitation of human resources in the KPLLAJ Department of Transportation.
