Abstract

Prisoners in the public prison have some rights, included the right to get debriefing skills, etc. It has been accommodated by Law No. 12, 1995 about Public Prison and also accommodate by PP No. 31, 1999. It’s important to know how about the implementation of the debriefing skills and what are the factors that make it can’t be implemented. The writer wants to know how about this debriefing skills implementation. The writer did the research in the LP Klas IIB Kabupaten Sleman by taking samples of the prisoners. The writer took 20 prisoners for samples, all of them are men. They are come from many kind of briefing skill programe, such as carpentry skills, agricultural skills, silk screening skills and skills of hair shaving. They filled the blank of opened questioner. Besides that, the writer also interviewed some Public Prisoner’s workers. The result of this research are the right of the prisoners to get debriefing skills in LP Klas IIB Kabupaten Sleman has been enough implemented. Debriefing of job skills training in LP Klas IIB Kabupaten Sleman has been effective, so if one day, the prisoners are free from the public prison, they can use the skill that have learned. In the debriefing of prisoners' skills they still has some problems, they are just there one room for debriefing skills, so it can make the prisoners feel not comfort when they get debriefing skills. Beside that LP Klas IIB Kabupaten Sleman has problem in Public Prisoner’s workers who still limited. Lack of capital is also a problem in LP Klas IIB Kabupaten Sleman. The writer has a suggestion that it’s better that goverment give more attention to the problems, so the briefing skills in LP Klas IIB kabupaten Sleman become better than before
