Abstract
Participants of policy in eradicate gambling buffalo fighting i n Toraja. To find out whether gambling is part of the Toraja tradition that must be maintained. What is the effort of the police in minimizing criminal acts of gambling that occur in the implementation of custom buffalo fights in Toraja. The type of research used in this study is normative legal research.Gambling on custom buffalo fights in Toraja is not part of the Toraja people. So the application of criminal law in buffalo fighting gambling in Toraja must run as determined in the KUHP 303 and article 303 bus about Criminal Actions of Gambling. The effort made by the police in Toraja is to take a persuasive approach
