Abstract

Right to safety is an effort to preserve the unity and perfection of both body and spirit of labor in particullar and people in general, and cultural work towards affluent and welfare society. It can be seen from the workers who worked in one of the quite famous minimarket Alfamart in Yogyakarta. The place is open 24 hours non-stop for 7 days in one week, making it easier for its citizens os customers to buy their needs at anytime. However, given the long time working over 24 hours of course will affect the safety of the workers, especially those working at night. The result of interviews with several workers of minimarket Alfamart writer state that workers will feel less security in Alfamart especially those who work at night. Work at night was very big risk and vulnerable to crimes in general such as robbery, burglary and evev murder. In fact there are a lot of robbery case that happen in minimarket Alfamart Yogyakarta and usually at night. Based on the conclusions of writer, implementation of the legal protection of the rights of worker safety at minimarket Alfamart not been fully implemented. This can be seen in terms of the lack of security provided from the company.
