Abstract

Abstract : Some of the things that are included in the scope of writing the Conceptual Foundation Planning and Architectural Design are how the exhibition and layout of the Exhibition Hall and layout of the Exhibition Hall and Museum in Biak City are transformed from Yosim Pancar Dance so as to produce an exciting atmosphere based on the building’s philosophical foundation showing its function. The selection of Yosim Pancar dance as an embodiment in the design of this building is because Yosim Pancar dance is one of the arts from Biak which has meaning as a dance of joy and it is often performed at the events in the Biak city. The Exhibition Hall and Museum in Biak City is considered necessary because until now Biak city does not yet have a proper facility as a venue for arts events, even though Biak city has many types of regional arts and frequent annual events. The absence of a facility capable of accommodating art performance activities is te main reason why the Exhibition Hall and Museum in Biak City needs to be held. While the museum is also a place for storing and exhibiting the collections of the World War II. Biak City was a silent witness to the occurrence of World War II. The existence of this historical museum will make Biak apart from being a natural tourist destination, but also as a historical tourist destination., it is hoped that it can be an enhancer of attraction for tourist, given the increasing number of tourist coming to the Biak city. In this project, Yosim Pancar dance will try to be realized in the concept of layout building and appearance of the building so that it can produce an exciting atmosphere in accordance with the meaning contained in Yosim Pancar’s dance.
