Abstract

This research analyzes the corporate social responsibility initiatives among public companies in Indonesia by reviewing the sustainability report and annual report. This research is aimed to examine and prove the effect of CSR and firm age as control variable toward firms’ financial performance. This study takes the samples from companies whose listed in LQ45 from February 2015-July 2019. Based on the criteria, there are totally 20 firms used as the sample. Multiple regression is used to test the hypothesis stated. The result shows that CSR and firm size as control variable did not significantly influence firms’ financial performance. Financial performance represents the profitability of company. In this research, ROA and ROE are used as the proxies.
