Abstract

Fighting with sharp weapons and violent fights are criminal acts. Fights do not only occur among adults but also among students. This is a very serious problem. In this situation, the police as a state institution have the duty and authority to maintain public order. The police will carry out investigations. In carrying out investigations, of course the police get obstacles. In cases of fights between senior high school students, criminal justice system always prioritizes diversion. Diversion according to article 1 point 7 is the transfer of settlement of cases from judicial proceedings to proceedings outside the court. In fact, many cases of fights continued to arrive at court decisions. Police effort always produce results even though sometimes there are many obstacles in it.
