Abstract

One area in Yogyakarta is an agro-tourism attraction, namely the Mangunan Fruit Farm. Mangunan fruit trees are mountainous areas that are used for the cultivation of various kinds of fruits. This garden is located in the Mangunan area, Dlingo District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region with a height of about 200 meters above sea level. Mangunan Fruit Garden has an area of 23,3415 Ha which in 2003 cultivated various fruits such as mangoes, duku, bananas, sapodilla, oranges, durian, mangosteen and others. Agrotourism is a series of tourism activities that utilize the potential of agriculture as a tourist attraction, both the potential in the form of natural landscapes of the agricultural area as well as the distinctiveness and diversity of agricultural production and technological activities and the culture of the farming community. Agro-tourism activities aim to broaden the horizons of knowledge, recreational experience and business relations in agriculture which include food crops, horticulture, plantations, fisheries and livestock. Based on the rapid development of the Mangunan Fruit Farm, the increase in visitors who come will certainly produce positive and negative impacts. so the authors are interested in conducting research on the Implementation of Environmental Protection through Agro Tourism in Mangunan Orchard in Bantul Regency.
