Abstract

This study is entitled the study of diversion practices for restorative justice in the juvenile justice system in Sleman, containing about the transfer of the juvenile justice system in Sleman original court as mandated by law number 11 of 2012. There are many cases involving children under the age of 18 and in its completion in accordance with the mandate of the Law, there is a need for Diversity, but there are many unsuccessful Diversions in the area of Sleman, therefore this research was conducted to determine the factors of transfer failure. Use empirical research and interviews with court judges and Child and Women's Protection Services UPT in the Sleman region. The results of the research turned out to be a factor in diving failure not only from both parties / parents but also from the judges who presided over the trial. Related to the implication of the judge who presided over the special trial of the child is required to have child certification obtained through training carried out by the parties concerned
