Abstract
the palm oil industry contributes to regional income but the palm oil industry has the potential to create pollution as its liquid waste. the problem in this study is how is the management of palm oil company waste as an effort to control river pollution in Melawi Regency. This research is empirical legal research, namely research that requires or uses primary data as the main data, namely data obtained directly from respondents and secondary data as supporters. data obtained from interviews with PT. Sinar Dinamika Kapuas as a respondent. Management activities carried out by PT. Sinar Dinamika Kapuas only covers three management activities, namely reduction, shelter and processing. Reduction activities have been carried out by reducing materials so that the amount of palm oil waste becomes more efficient so as not to pollute the environment. Storage and processing activities are carried out by entering into 6 processing ponds. based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the palm oil mill PT. Sinar Dinamika Kapuas has managed liquid waste in the form of reduction, storage and processing in accordance with the provisions of the regulations, so as to prevent water pollution in the Matok river in Melawi Regency. Therefore DLH needs to conduct more intensive supervision of the management of wastewater at PT. Sinar Dinamika Kapuas in order to maintain compliance with regulations or licensing requirements.
