Abstract

The research entitled "Implementation of the Regional Regulation of Yogyakarta City Number 26 of 2002 Concerning the Arrangement of Street Vendors with the Issuance of Government Regulation Number 34 of 2006 concerning Roads for Pedestrians in the City of Yogyakarta". The purpose of the study was to find out the reason for the mayor or authorized official to give permission to street vendors to trade on the sidewalk. This study uses normative legal research methods. The data sources used are primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. Data will be analyzed using qualitative methods. The process of thinking in drawing conclusions is done deductively, namely drawing conclusions from the general things to solve a special case. The reason the mayor gave permission to street vendors to sell on the sidewalk was to increase income or income for the local community. In addition, the presence of street vendors is one of the attractions of tourist destinations for tourists visiting the city of Yogyakarta.
