Abstract

The title of this paper is the optimizing the performance of legal advocates to provide legal assistance free of charge. The purpose of this law writing is to see and to get the source concerning the way to optimize the performance of the Advocate in providing legal assistance free of charge in Yogyakarta. The method of research in this law writing is a normative legal research that is a research which focuses on the norms of positive law in the form of Rules and Regulations. Therefore, this study requires secondary data as data headliner. In order to optimize the performance of the Advocate in providing legal assistance free of charge then the Advocates should qualified the requirements to be a good advocate under the Act or regulations of Advocates organization, empowering the role of paralegals, and the holding of a warning by the Advocates organization for Advocates members to provide legal assistance free of charge for poor people as a liability. Obviously, each Advocate should always be ready to optimize all their effort and performance to provide legal assistance free of charge, supported by appropriate skills gained by the used terms and conditions. Finally, it is expected to optimize the performance of the Advocate in order to optimize its performance in providing legal assistance free of charge.
