Abstract

Research titled police action against the perpetrators of vigilante in the case of motor vehicle theft case this study is whether the efforts made by the police special region of Yogyakarta on vigilantism on the perpetrators of the theft of motor vehicles and whether the police in addressing the constraints vigilantism. Thesist benefit is expected to be useful for the development of legal science in general and criminal procedural law on the police action against the perpetrators of vigilante in the case of motorcycle in the jurisdiction of the regional police special Yogyakarta. Metode used in this study is the use of normative legal research. conclusions of this study is the police are always trying to solve the theft of motorcycle vehicles with a routine patrol and the actions taken by the police to form patrol teams and to disseminate to the public. Suggestions of this research was the police must maintain security and order the protection of society and perform routine coordination and outreach to the community to maintain public trust keywords: vigilante, theft, police action, the province of Yogyakarta special region.
