Abstract

The business activities of Sintang Regency gold mining is done by local people as well as newcomers, most of these mining activities carried out illegally without permission./. Wild gold mining activities carried out at the Regency Sintang mine system is to spray and suction on the Mainland, while the location is done above the water surface of a river system using Melawi mine "jek"/dompeng in the local language. Of the business activities of such illegal mining poses a lot of environmental damage and pollution of the water ecosystems mainly on watersheds. In this case the local Government District of Sintang or related agencies need to do a concrete steps such as the existence of environmental law enforcement against the perpetrators of the crate. environmental law enforcement undertaken by related institutions still findmany constraints faced, so in doing environmental law enforcement related institutions need more emphasis on prevention efforts, do coaching and socialization in order to later willing to cratethe perpetrators take care of the mining licence or switching to other professions, and law enforcement agencies need to coordinate each other in law enforcement efforts against the crate and perpetrators the crate that had already been warned several times to be given strict sanctions .
