Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out how the role of traditional stakeholder institutions in East Flores Regency toward domestic violence problem-solving. The research was conducted based on normative legal research. The sources of data were collected from primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. Data collection technique was used through literature study and interview. the Data was analyzed by analyzing primary legal material and secondary legal material. The adat stakeholders in East Flores Regency have so far been able to solve problems related to domestic violence through mediation. Where in the mediation, the adat stakeholder institution will summon the parties in conflict from each tribe's families to reconcile the parties in conflict. if the mediation reaches the peaceful word then there will be a traditional ritual or custom ceremonial rituals. But if the council does not reach the peaceful agreement then the case will be taken over through the court. This is related to regulation of the constitution in UUD 1945 Article 18 B paragraph (2), Undang-Undang No. 23 of 2004 concerning toward Elimination of Domestic Violence, Ministerial Regulation Number 18 Year 2018 concerning Village Community Institutions and Village Customary Institutions Article 10 paragraph 1 and 2, Decree of the Riangkemie Village Head No. 4 of 2016 concerning Appointment Indigenous Village Leaders.
