Abstract

This writing describes the provision of legal assistance to victims of criminal acts of violence in the household at the police examination. The implementation of the provision of legal assistance is one of the efforts to fulfill and at the same time as the implementation of a legal state that recognizes and protects and guarantees the rights of citizens of the need for access to justice and equality in the law. So far, the provision of legal assistance has not been fully implemented properly, and has not even touched many weak people, so they have difficulty accessing justice because they are hampered by their inability. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the provision of legal assistance to victims of criminal acts of violence in the household at the police examination. The type of research used is a type of normative research, namely research conducted by examining secondary data. Normative legal research in the form of legal norms of legislation that are examined vertically and horizontally.The PPA can provide legal assistance in the form of assistance to victims and counseling and also in collaboration with LSM. The obstacle faced by the PPA is that it is difficult to prove the existence of domestic violence perpetrated by the perpetrators because the former violence on the victim has been long and not seen because the victim only reported after some time.
