Abstract

Micro, small, and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) are a part of the development of industries in Indonesia. There are many MSMEs established in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), and most of them work on handcraft production. Recently, there are still so many classical problems faced by the handcraft MSMEs such as poor access to the supplier and customer, technology limitation, inefficiecy, and poor management. A study to help handcraft MSMEs improving their acces to the supplier and customer by optimizing the usage of appropriate information system (IS) is ongoing. This paper presents the first phase of the study. Through some observations, interviews, and mapping the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), the Internal Supply Chain Management (ISCM), and the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) of the MSMEs, this study built the IS models for the MSMEs.The analysis of CRM, ISCM, and SRM separately produced two models of SRM, three models of ISCM, and three models of SRM. The combination of those models then generated six basic IS models for the MSMEs.
