Abstract
The title of this research is the implementation of reclamation of environmental damage in the former mining excavation in West Kutai Regency, the problem in this research is the amount of environmental damage such as abandoned mining pits left behind so that the land that has been used cannot be reused in accordance with its initial designation. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of the reclamation carried out by mining companies in accordance with existing laws and regulations in Indonesia. This writing uses the empirical writing method where in this writing uses facts dan the datas are obtained from some interviews, respondents, dan sources of information. The conclution of this research is the implementation of the reclamation of ex-mining land has been carried out quite well at the location that has been reclaimed, because the ex-mining land has been functioning in accordance with its designation. Nevertheless there are still ex-mining land that has not been reclaimed yet.
