Abstract

This research discusses how the role of KPAID in Yogyakarta City provides protection for child victims of inbreeding. This study using a normative study such as primary data and seconday data. Primary data obtained directly from the source. Secondary data obtained from laws and regulations, experiences from the experts, books and research result. KPAID of Yogyakarta City was formed in 2016 based on Mayor’s Regulation No, 127/2016. Based on the results of this research, KPAID of Yogyakarta City has many functions, one of them is to controlling the protection and fulfill the children's rights as a whole, integrated and coordinated based on national policy of KPAI, and conducting mediation, advice, and advocacy for violations of children's rights. However, in fact, the victims or families did not make a report of inbreeding to KPAID of Yogyakarta City and couldn’t find the evidence from the perpetrators of sexual violence shiwch leads to freedom and no sanctions.
