Abstract

The writing of this law is the management of plastic waste due to tourism activities as an effort to control marine pollution on Kuta Beach, Badung Regency, Bali Province based on the Bali Provincial Regulation Number 5 of 2011 concerning Waste Management. This legal research aims to determine and study the management of plastic waste due to tourism activities as an effort to control marine pollution in Kuta Beach, Badung Regency, Bali Province and to find out and study the factors that hinder local governments in managing plastic waste due to tourism activities. This legal writing is an empirical research. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the management of plastic waste has been carried out by the Badung Regency Government by issuing the Badung Regent Regulation Number 47 of 2018 concerning Reducing Plastic Waste and the Regulation of the Regent of Badung Number 48 of 2018 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle through the Waste Bank. The obstacles faced by the Regional Government are the presence of seasonal waste during the rainy season, the lack of infrastructure, the number of traditional and religious ceremonies, and the lack of awareness of the community, tourists and business actors in the Kuta beach area.
