Abstract
Gambling in Indonesia is criminal act regulated in 303 KUHP and Republic Indonesia Law No. 7 of 197. Gambling is deliberate betting, namely risking one value or something that is considered valuable by realizing certain risks and expectations in certain events, games, match, competitions and events for which there is not and or uncertain result. One of gambling that is often done by people in the Tasikmalaya area is Adu Muncang. This kind of gambling should be done by the people there. Adu muncang is a type traditional game that has a gambling element in it. To follow up on problems in society where gambling can interfere with security and public order, then the Police have an important role in tackling the crime of adu muncang, namely by means of pre-emptive, preventive and repressive. In carrying out these efforts the police often face obtacles such as : a closed society in providing information, leaked information that makes it easy for gamblers to escape and traditional games have become the guise of gambling
