Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the rehabilitation institution has been able to carry out its role as well as to find out and understand whether there are factors that hamper the implementation of the tasks of the rehabilitation institution in handling narcotics abuse. The benefits of this research contribute to the development of jurisprudence, specifically the implementation of the Rehabilitation Institute in handling victims of narcotics abuse. And is expected to provide input or contribute ideas for the Rehabilitation Institute and the community about the benefits of Rehabilitation for Narcotics users. The research method used is normative law that focuses on positive legal norms with data collection techniques in library studies and interviews. The research location was in the Kapetta Foundation, South Tangerang City, Banten The results of the research prove that the rehab institution in carrying out its role is constrained by the lack of knowledge about rehabilitation, the family is difficult to be actively involved, the lack of medical / education experts, the community who do not have legal awareness.
