Abstract

The title of this research is the enforcement of the 3R Principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in Waste Management in Sleman Regency. The main problem of this research is about how the implementation of the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in waste management in Sleman Regency and what are the obstacles in implementing the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in waste management in Sleman Regency. The purpose of this research is to investigate the implementation of the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in waste management in Sleman Regency and the obstacles encountered in implementing the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in waste management in Sleman Regency. This research is using Legal Empirical Research. Legal Empirical Research is research conducted directly to respondents to obtain primary data supported by secondary data consisting of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. The conclusion of this study is the enforcement of the 3R Principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in waste management in Sleman Regency has been carried out well by community waste management groups such as the Trash Bank and 3R TPS which cannot be separated from the support of the Office of the Environment which facilitates in terms of facilities and infrastructure, but there are obstacles, namely the lack of community awareness of the importance of processing and handling waste from its source.
