Abstract

Transportation is one of the technologies that support community activities. Technological developments affect the development of railroad transportation, one of which is the Mass Rapid Transit transportation mode which is operated in Jakarta. Regarding the Mass Rapid Transit transportation organization, the principles and forms of legal liability of PT. Jakarta MRT for Mass Rapid Transit transportation service users is very important for passengers. Mass Rapid Transit, can be held responsible with certain efforts. This paper uses a normative juridical method by analyzing and following up on regulations related to PT. Jakarta MRT as the organizer of Mass Rapid Transit transportation. thus, MRT transportation and PT. Jakarta MRT in its regulations is subject to the provisions of Law Number 23 Year 2007 concerning Railways and Government Regulation Number 72 Year 2009 concerning Railway Traffic and Transportation and PT. The Jakarta MRT as the MRT transport operator responsible for MRT passengers uses the principle of absolute liability and strict liability. So, the government must socialize related to MRT transportation by obeying the provisions of the regulations regarding railways and the need for new regulations that govern all matters relating to the transportation of MRT, especially those related to PT.
