The type of research used by the writer in this research is empirical. The results of the research are the tin mining in Bangka Belitung Islands Province brings positive impact for the economic life, but also brings negative impact, such as holes ex-excavation by illegal miners, so it needs supervision by the government toward the mining business to prevent the widespread of environmental damage. The conclusion of this research is the supervision by the government has been done according to law, but the implementation isn’t maximum, because the supervision has only been done for several times in a year and the human resources along with the fund that are needed to repair the environmental damage caused by the mining are limited.
