Abstract
Transportation is an important part of everyday life. Motorcycle become one of the modes of transportation for Indonesian society, because they are considered more efficient than other transportation, ranging from adults to children. The requirement to be able to drive a motor vehicle is to have an Indonesian driving license (SIM) according to the type of motor vehicle being driven. A SIM-C can be obtained with one of the conditions that already 17 years old. Many people in Kota Banjar still ignore the legal rules regarding the obligation to have a SIM-C in driving, especially by children drivers. In 2019, Kota Banjar recorded 3.719 violations by children who were not yet 17 years old, one of the violations that need attention by the traffic police are students who are not old enough to have a SIM-C. The purpose of this research is to find out how the efforts made by the traffic police in overcoming traffic violations by children as motorbike rider. This type of research is empirical legal research. The efforts made by the traffic police are preventive efforts by do socialization to schools also do talkshow, and repressive efforts by take direct action in the form of traffic ticket against children who are indeed found violated traffic.
