Abstract

Legal protection for female victims of rape in the Merauke regency, the province of Papua (Case No.30/Pid.B/2019/ PN.Mrk). How is the legal protection for female victims of rape in the Merauke Regency, Province of Papua in Penal Case No. 30/Pid.B/2019/PN.Mrk. The aim of this research is to seek out and investigate the legal protection of female victims of rape in Merauke Regency, Papua Province, in the decision of the criminal case No.30/Pid.B/2019/PN.Mrk. This type of research is normative law. Normative law research is a form of research that focuses on positive legal norms in the form of applicable laws and regulations, books, articles and other literature references. Data sources in the form of primary, secondary and tertiary data. The data was collected by interviews with spokespersons who are important for the rape victims in Merauke to realize the legal protection. The spokesperson was Mr. Rizki Yanuar SH., M.H. From the district court of Merauke. According to research findings of case number 30 / Pid. B / 2019 / PN Mrk provides adequate legal protection for women victims of rape in the Merauke regency, in the province of Papua. By imposing criminal punishment of 11 (eleven) years imprisonment for the accused, so that this can be considered fair for rape victims (Ona Afdan) in this case, it helps also to protect women in Merauke and stop rape in the future.
