Abstract

Magelang Regency, which is located in the province of Central Java, is one of the areas where there are many barecore industries. This research was conducted to determine the role of the environmental service agency in tackling barecore factory waste pollution in Magelang Regency and to find out the obstacles and solutions for the role of the environmental service in overcoming barecore factory waste pollution in Magelang Regency. The type of legal research conducted is Empirical Legal Research. Empirical legal research is research that focuses on social facts. This research is a normative legal research that is supported by primary data. The data used are secondary data that consists of primary, secondary, and tertiary as well as primary data in the form of interview. The data analysis process uses the method of law approach, historical approach, and conceptual approach. This analysis is conducted and described descriptively and prescriptively. The result of the research that has been conducted by the author can be concluded; first, the Environment Agency provides a complaint portal facility and conducts monitoring which is carried out routinely every 6 months and provides administrative sanctions for those who commit violations. Second, the solution to the barecore wood factory waste pollution prevention can be done by carrying out monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities in accordance with applicable regulations.
