Abstract

The implementation of PON XX which will be carried out in Papua is the background of this research because it indicates the pollution of water sources in Kampung Netar, Jayapura Regency, which comes from the construction waste of the Papua Bangkit Stadium, the place where PON XX will take place. The research objective was to find out how to control environmental pollution and / or damage carried out by the Jayapura Regency Environmental agency. The formulation of the problem that the researcher took was how the Role of the Environmental Agency in controlling the pollution of the Kampung Netar river due to the waste from the construction of the Papua Bangkit Stadium in Jayapura Regency. The analytical method used in this research is empirical, where data is obtained from statutory regulations, books, journals, theses, internet, interviews with the Head of the Jayapura Regency Environmental agency, Youth and Sports Agency, Regional Planning and Development Agency, and representatives The people of Kampung Netar. The conclusion of this research is that the pollution control that the Environmental agency Office has not been maximized because there are still complaints of pollution by the community and there has been no resolution, the Papua Bangkit Stadium has also taken pollution prevention measures, although not yet thoroughly.
